About Steve
Hello. I’m Steve, your Berlin tour guide.
I’m originally from the U.S.A., but my family roots in Germany are deep. My mother was born here and
I studied history at Rutgers University and went on to a masters in international relations at the University of Kassel here in Germany.
That’s where I met my wife, who happened to be born and raised in East Berlin. Yes, she’s old enough to remember the Wende (the Change). That’s how I ended up here.
We are raising two wonderful children and getting the most out of this interesting city.
I’m also the founder of Tours by Foot, and I’ve been a tour guide for almost 20 years, including stints in Washington, DC, and New York.
I bring a unique perspective as an outsider/insider, something I believe is of value.
